Founded in 2014, Beg Borrow and Steel is ready to kick off their 6th year together. BB&S has risen to become a highly requested “beach band” and continues to bring their tropical infused coolness all over Bucks and Montgomery Counties, Philadelphia and South Jersey.
Beg Borrow & Steel has found a way to take the classic rock sounds of the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s and inject their own unique vibe. By using traditional rock n roll instrumentation and adding the nontraditional sounds of steel drums and congas, BB&S offers something a bit different from your standard cover band. Whether it’s relieving a happy hour crowd from their daily pressures, or rocking the dance floor for the late night party, Beg Borrow & Steel delivers. The musical diversity is woven into a unique tapestry of art and entertainment. Nothing is safe, from Jimmy Buffett and Bob Marley, to The Beatles and The Stones, to Zac Brown and the Grateful Dead. This dynamic creates an atmosphere that ensures that no two shows will be alike. Similarly to the summer cocktail you’ll grab as you listen to the band, Beg Borrow and Steel thinks of themselves as the cocktail that results from the blending of these different genres of music.
At the core of Beg Borrow & Steel, you’ll find Eddie Ambrosano on the drums, Joe Hytha on the bass, Johnny McGarvey on the steel pan and Chris McCord on guitar and vocals.
This year, BB&S has added a few new venues, as well as returning to our favorite bars and restaurants in the Delaware Valley. From Doylestown to Manayunk, Beg Borrow & Steel has been adding fans at every show. BB&S is also available for private parties, corporate functions, and charity events. Depending on the size of your event, they can offer a range of styling, from a duo to a full band.
